This Privacy Policy explains how Metalyx Technologies LLP (“we”, “us”), operator of the SteelConnect platform (“Platform”), collects, uses, shares and protects your information. By using the Platform you consent to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information — name, email, role, company and profile details you provide at registration.
Content you upload — drawings, files, project details, quotes, RFIs and messages.
Payment information — processed securely by our payment partners (e.g. Razorpay). We do not store your full card details; we retain transaction references and invoices for accounting and tax compliance.
Usage & device data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and approximate location, used to operate, secure and improve the Platform.

2. How we use your information

To provide, operate and improve the Platform and its features;
To process payments and issue GST-compliant invoices;
To send service messages, security alerts and, where relevant, product updates;
To provide customer support and respond to your requests;
To prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents, and to comply with law.

3. Payment data & processors

Payments are handled by PCI-DSS-compliant processors including Razorpay. Your card or bank details are entered on the processor's secure systems, not stored on ours. We receive only the confirmation, transaction ID and amount needed to activate your subscription and issue an invoice.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: (a) service providers who help us run the Platform (hosting, payments, email, analytics) under confidentiality obligations; (b) other users where you choose to share — e.g. quotes you submit or people you invite into a Project Room; and (c) authorities where required by law.

5. Data security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable cloud infrastructure to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Invoices and transaction records are retained as required by Indian tax law. Deleted files may be recoverable from a recycle bin for a limited retention period, after which they are permanently removed.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct or request deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing, by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to legal retention requirements.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality.

9. Children

The Platform is intended for business users and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always available at this page. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email.
